Welcome to the Electra Public Library

est. 09/06/2.

Good Monday morning!! I hope everyone had a fantastic week-end. Can you believe it is the last week of September already?? I sure can't. Are you reading for a new week of blessings and possibilities? Then, let's get started with your family library happenings.

First, I have issued 8 new library cards so far this month. That is a big WOOHOO!! That means we have 8 new family members. Now how awesome is that!! Are you telling your friends and family how they can obtain their own library card?? Also, explain what they can do for free. You can check out movies, books, and audios. we even have free Wi-Fi and computer usage. The children have their own room to go to. They have the use of computers too. If they are under 8 years old, they need to be with an adult at all times. Children of all backgrounds can freely explore the huge range of books and where they have the freedom to find their own taste and discover literature at their own pace.

Secondly, the new books and audios are almost ready for check out. All that needs to be done is put them into the computer and take a picture of them for Facebook. Anticipation right!!  I know it is hard, but I promise we are working on them. Some of the titles are: The 6:20 Man by Baldacci, The best is yet to come by Debbie Macomber, Portrait of an Unknown Woman by Daniel Silva, Black Dog by Stuart Woods just to name a few.

Lastly, the donation for the book sale has been AWESOME!! Ar you ready to find the "just right" book  or completing a series that you have started?? Do you have a special genre that you like or are you ready for a change? Whatever the case may be, we can help you find the perfect author or genre. Do you have a reading bucket list? If you do, bring it in and we will do our best to help you!!

The motivational quote for the week is by Walt Disney: "There is more treasure in books than in all the Pirates loot on Treause Island."

Happy Reading,
